GT Fighting Academy is a private, members-only fighting academy located in Wakefield, Rhode Island. It is a space for serious and enthusiastic martial artists to to build their skills, prepare to compete, and grow together.

George “Coach” Thibault is a long time student of a variety of martial arts that includes but is not limited to: Kempo at 8, adult class Tae Kwon Do at 12, kickboxing at 13, Yang Ki Yin Jiu Jitsu and Jeet Kune Do at 18. He is a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Mat Santos, a black belt in Yang Ki Yin under Brad Inman, is a purple Mongkhon in Muay Thai under Kru Mark Dellagrotte & a green arm band under Ajarn Kevin Seaman, and is an associate instructor in Jeet Kune Do, Kali/Arnis and Silat under the late Keith Allen.

George is a Muay Thai judge and referees under Allen Lau, and has refereed for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Pankration as well. He is head Muay Thai coach and MMA team at Team Santos Fighting Academy. George has been a coach since the 1990s, and coaches classes for all ages, including being the Adopt A Cop Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach at Team United. He also is part of the National Law Enforcement Trainer for elite law enforcement trainers. Additionally, George is a licensed/certified corner person since the 1990s-2000s and has cornered fights in the greater New England area for his fighters.
